Insurer Development Director, Swinton

Chris has been with Swinton for over 25 years and his current responsibilities as Insurer Development Director are to manage and develop the business relationships with Swinton’s extensive panels of insurers.  Swinton work closely with all its insurers and manage a key account strategy with dedicated account managers appointed to selected key insurers.  Swinton write circa £900m gross premium and therefore some of the major accounts are significant.

• Panel performance and competitiveness
• Pricing and product development
• Insurer business processes
• Insurer service standards
• Volume production and account performance
• Claims handling services
• Terms of business and trading relationships

Chris also has responsibility for other commercial activities within Swinton including claims handling and ULR, breakdown and specialist product development including taxi, motor caravan, PPI, life, travel, pet etc. Chris’s earlier roles in Swinton have included Operational Management and Franchise Business Management.

Chris’s main interests after work and family are sport, mainly football (Chris is a Manchester United fan…a real one!) and is also a keen fly fisherman and fell walker.
