Ian Hughes
Managing Director, Consumer IntelligenceIan has worked in the marketing and communications industry for 25 years, starting out as a Data Analyst at Marks and Spencer before becoming Chief Marketing Officer at MM Group. In 1999 Ian Graduated from Harvard Business School and did the Dot Com thing founding eCharity.com in the USA.
In 2001 Ian returned to the UK launching Direct Excellence and then Consumer Intelligence in 2003. Since then he has become fanatical with the way in which Insurance buyers make decisions and what insurers can do to influence them, whether it be strategic, tactical or operational. To Ian there is no more perfect marketer to blend Analytics, Behaviour Science and Marketing.
Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct Marketing and was on the Board of the Direct Marketing Association. He has a degree in business, a postgraduate in Direct Marketing and is a Graduate of Harvard Business School.
Ian has written for the Journal of Interactive Communications, is a columnist for Direct Marketing International and a regular speaker around the world on Insurance, Consumer Buying Decisions and Customer Service issues.
