Industry Leader Interview with Lior Koskas – CEO, Digilog


  1. What are the challenges are facing your business right now, and how are you working to overcome them?

For me it has to be travel and gaining access to people. We have become a little to reliant on Zoom and Teams etc and whilst they have been brilliant to keep in contact, I prefer to meet face to face with the opportunity to really get to know about who I am talking to and about their business.

  1. What has been your biggest business learning from the coronavirus pandemic?

Be patient, things are moving at a lot slower pace! I have also learnt a bit more about my business, we are resilient, and it has been great to see a team that is very much office and field based be able to maintain what they do remotely.

  1. As we go to a “new normal” what are you looking forward to returning to and practices will you keep?

As the CEO, my focus is more on the international markets and its fair to say that dealing with businesses in other countries has been a bit of moving goal posts due to local travel restrictions constantly changing. We will find a balance between remote business discussions, but we hope to be able to meet with our clients again soon.

  1. If you could go back to the beginning of 2020, what piece of advice would you give to yourself?

Always be prepared. The pandemic we have experienced during last year proved that there is a valid reason for businesses to have a contingency plan in place. What seems very unlikely, can come back and bite you. We must give the time and attention to areas, policies and plans that are easily pushed aside as there is always something more important.

  1. What would be your prediction for the industry in the next year?

    This is a tough one, things have and will continue to change. The desire to provide customers with a perfect online customer journey is great however I genuinely cannot see how this can be achieved if we do not speak to them. The industry is putting themselves at risk and as we work in Voice Risk Analysis, I always say what cant talk cant lie, what is that telling us? A lot of people are and will continue to have some financial difficulties and we are just about to see the end of Furlough. Does this mean we are going to see an increase in people trying to save money when buying insurance and are we going to see insurance claims becoming more of a quick and easy way to secure some personal gain!
