AkzoNobel has completed the installation of its Sikkens Autowave 2.0 paint system across AW Repair Group’s rapidly expanding network of repair centres in the East Midlands.
As a returning customer, AW Repair Group says the range of Sikkens products provide a comprehensive solution that aligns with its long-term business strategy and the UK’s growing electric and hybrid vehicle parc.
The Sikkens Autowave 2.0 paint system, including the Autoclear 2.0 clearcoat, will also help AW Repair Group continue to deliver on its commitment to the PAS2060 carbon neutrality standard, thanks to its low solvent emissions.
As one of the most eco-friendly clearcoats on the market, its fast-drying, low-bake characteristics will enable greater efficiency and flexibility across the Group’s network of 11 repair centres covering the East Midlands, Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
Steve Hoe, Technical Development and VM Manager at AW Repair Group, says, “In-depth product demonstrations allowed us to make informed decisions, and the support of AkzoNobel’s technical team was invaluable.”
“Converting our repair centres to the Sikkens 2.0 system was a very smooth process with a clear plan produced to include product delivery, installation and staff training – all of which were carried out with great efficiency and ease. It’s been a pleasure to work with both the sales and technical teams at AkzoNobel.”
Andrew Woodcock, Area Sales Manager for AkzoNobel’s Automotive and Speciality Coatings business, adds, “We’re delighted to be working once again with AW Repair Group. We look forward to re-establishing our business partnership and helping the Group deliver against its long-term business strategy and environmental goals.”
