
AkzoNobel has confirmed that collaboration on new sustainable innovations will continue with three winners of its Paint the Future awards.
The awards, introduced in 2019, seek to support tech start-ups bring new innovations to market. AkzoNobel received more than 245 submissions this year from companies in 62 countries.
The winners will now join its six-month go-to-market acceleration program.
The 2022 winners included SolCold, an Israeli start-up that has developed a sustainable self-cooling coating that uses the sun’s energy instead of electricity, Latvian start-up Aerones, which has developed a robotic solution to wind turbine maintenance, and SprayVision, a Czech-based start-up that saves material by introducing a data-driven approach to spray application.
Menno van der Zalm, Director of the AkzoNobel Incubator, said, “The winning start-ups are joining our go-to-market acceleration program, connecting them to a global network of people and resources. Over the next six months, we’ll work together to validate their solutions for our customers and develop a joint value case.”
