Donna Scully, Director of Carpenters Group is set to discuss the value of mentoring and what it can mean for individuals and businesses at ILC’s New Generation in Claims event.
The event, which takes place on Wednesday 26 April at etc.venues, Manchester is headline sponsored by Wiser Academy along with new addition to the sponsor line-up Carpenters, as well as Enterprise and Zurich.
Developed to cater for and help support the common theme of skills shortages across the sector, New Generation in Claims aims to shine a on the need for both retaining talent and attracting diverse new people within the insurance claims sector.
Carpenters Group is one of the UK’s leading providers of insurance and legal services. Its team has grown to approximately 1,000 employees across six offices throughout the UK with sites in Liverpool, Birkenhead, Leeds, Haywards Heath and Glasgow.
The business won the ‘Outstanding CSR Award’ at the YM Liverpool Property & Business Awards in 2022 and Donna was shortlisted in the ‘Person with Purpose’ category at the Northern Power Women Awards 2023 in part attributed to her mentoring work.
Demonstrating Carpenters Group commitment to new generation talent, the business has also recently launched its first cohort of Legal Advisors as part of its Legal Academy.
The ILC New Generation in Claims agenda will support attendees to understand what factors are at play influencing talent recruitment, retention and upskilling; how people challenges can influence positive change across business; and crucially discuss the skills requirements within claims for the future.
The event is for anyone involved in the insurance claims sector providing any function of HR, recruitment, and training, as well as operational team leaders.
