Leading UK newspaper The i has announced that ILC’s chosen charity Rainbow Trust will be its sole Christmas Charity partner this month.
As such, one of the most trusted titles in the country has pledged to publish a feature or article on charity every day throughout December. The campaign launched on Monday, 6 December, with The i setting an initial fundraising target of £75,000.
The news comes just weeks after ILC announced that it hopes to take its own total fundraising for Rainbow Trust beyond the magical £1m barrier at the much-anticipated 2022 ILC Motor Claims Networking Lunch, taking place on 21 January.
The fun-filled event will again include all the established favourites – special guests, Silent Lot auctions and the famous ILC Teddy Bears – but with further entertainment thrown in this time as ILC gets set to celebrate reaching the £1m mark after 11 years of support.
Mark Hadaway, ILC managing director, said, “It’s absolutely fantastic news that The i has selected such a worthy cause to focus its fundraising efforts on this month. Through our own close association with the charity we know what a phenomenal job The Rainbow Trust does.
“But like all charities, it needs support and we are incredibly proud to be on the verge of breaking the £1m barrier – and incredibly grateful to all our partners and colleagues and friends who have helped us get here. The 2022 ILC Motor Claims Networking Lunch will of course be a lot of fun, and we can’t wait to reveal our special guests in the coming weeks, but it will also be an opportunity to recognise this achievement – and set us on the way to the next £1m!”
ILC would like to thank its corporate partners AkzoNobel, Autoglass, CAPS, Carpenters Group, Copart, Davies, e2e, Enterprise Rent-a-Car, Entergral, GT Motive, Hills The Green Parts Specialists, IAA, Innovation Group, S&G Response, Sherwin Williams, thingco and Verisk, as well as its Insurer and Industry Body Partners Ageas, Aioi Nissay Dowa Europe, Aviva, Covea, ERS, LV=, Markerstudy, Modern Insurance Magazine, pukka insure, Swinton Group, Tesco Underwriting, Thatcham Research, Toyota Insurance Services and Zurich.
