Consumers at heart of new ILC event

ILC’s new Risk & Compliance event – ‘Consumers – more than just a duty’ – is set to explore the changing landscape of consumer interaction within claims.

The event, which takes place on 15 November at etc venues, is set to discuss how insurers and supply chains can work together to optimise the consumer journey whilst satisfying ever-changing legislation and navigating heightened socio-economic challenges.

The event will unpick the impacts, three months on from the new Consumer Duty regulations – focusing on the potential positive impacts it offers across the sector. Other significant areas of impact such as consumer-centric innovation, fraud and trust will also shape the day’s agenda.

“The Consumer Duty regulations are rightfully front and centre of the sector’s thinking currently and the true impact is yet to be fully determined,” said ILC Managing Director, Mark Hadaway. “This exciting, new ILC event will provide the perfect platform by which to explore this area in much greater detail.”

Mark continued, “However, this is certainly not the only area where the industry needs to be focusing its attentions – insurance claims are the ‘moment of truth’ for any consumer, and right now with an increasing number of complaints being upheld by the ombudsman, it is clear there is work to be done across the industry.”
