Credit hire to come under the spotlight

The evolution of the credit hire sector will come under the spotlight during a panel debate at ILC’s Exclusive Motor Claims Conference on 6 October.

The panel, made up of Chris Ashworth, Founder, ILC; James Driscoll, Senior Claims Manager – Motor Damage & Credit Hire, Aviva; Simon Gallimore, CEO, EDAM Group; and Charles Layfield, Senior Advisor, ACSO will discuss the latest movements within the credit hire market.

The session – The Credit Hire Conundrum – follows the government’s announcement back in March that it would not be taking specific action relating to credit hire in Part 2 of its Response to: Reforming the Soft Tissue Injury (‘whiplash’) Claims Process, instead pointing towards ongoing work amongst key stakeholders to monitor and improve the use of industry agreements, including the General Terms of Agreement (GTA).

The session will see the panelists discuss what progress has been made in satisfying the government’s preferred solution and how various parties within the supply chain are working to ensure best outcomes for all within, what is, a highly complex marketplace.

Themed Future Focus, ILC’s Exclusive Motor Claims Conference takes place on Thursday 6 October at Landing Forty – the UK’s highest dedicated events space – and will delve into some of the most pressing issues currently challenging the sector as well as provide a host of market intelligence, keynote insights and inspiration via a host of sessions from key persons of influence.

Already revealed to feature during the day include CEO of premium listed motor insurer Sabre Insurance, Geoff Carter; Insurance Director at InsurTech Marshmallow, Paula Coulthard; and Claims Director of The AA, Gary Barker.

The event is headline sponsored by Enterprise, along with Sponsors EDAM Group and LexisNexis Risk Solutions.
