AA Assist unveils digital solution for uncertain drivers
New research has revealed that motorists are unsure who to contact in the event of a collision that they can drive away from.
This comes after the AA reported a 135% increase in calls for help between the first weekend of December and the second, when temperatures plummeted and driving conditions were hazardous.
Verisk explores OIC impacts
The need for industry-proven, end-to-end solutions that ensure full connectivity with the Official Injury Claims (OIC) portal ‘out of the box’ has been highlighted by Verisk.
In an article exploring the impacts since the introduction of the portal, Verisk said, “It has become increasingly clear that piecemeal systems or processes to deal with claims submitted through the OIC portal are no longer a suitable substitute for true application-to-application (A2A) connectivity and the follow-on benefits it brings.”

Copart has welcomed a new report that has revealed the extent the UK repair industry is adopting green parts.
The report found that 79% of bodyshops who responded to the survey said they had used reclaimed parts for environmental, economic and supply chain reasons.
Aviva won’t leave EV drivers stranded
Aviva has enhanced support for EV drivers by announcing that RAC recovery experts will attend stranded motorists and either recharge their vehicles or tow them home or to the nearest charge point.
This comes after its own research revealed that 43% of drivers say running out of power is concern while 42% worry about the availability of charging points on long journeys.
