Have your say on digital transformation in claims

Restore Digital is launching a new research project exploring the role of emerging technologies in the claims journey and is looking for views on the technologies that will have the greatest impact, the key drivers of adoption and the challenges you’re facing in achieving a successful outcome for your digital transformation projects.

ILC set to announce ClaimsTech – The Pitch finalists

ILC is set to announce the finalists of the its inaugural ClaimsTech – The Pitch competition, created in partnership with Insurtech UK, in the coming days.

These seven organisations will present their solutions during a special, invitation-only ClaimsTech – The Pitch session taking place on 14 September at 133 Houndsditch, London – a precursor to the annual ClaimsTech LIVE event.

ClaimsTech – The Pitch, immediately precedes the well-established ClaimsTech LIVE event, which this year is set to be more interactive and engaging than ever.

Aviva invests in future tech stars

Aviva invited year 10 and year 11 students to a week-long Technology Work Placement at its Bristol, Norwich and York sites, where they explored various roles across the technology department.

They also took part in workshops on CV writing, interview preparation and protecting their health and well-being.

Keating set for MGA Claims keynote

Mike Keating, CEO of the Managing General Agents’ Association (MGAA) will provide a keynote interview as part of this year’s ILC MGA Claims Conference.

The event, in association with the MGAA, takes place on 28 September at 155 Bishopsgate, London and will see Mike’s interview focus on how to succeed in the MGA world.

CMA approves Copart/Hills deal

The Competition and Markets Authority has officially given the green light to Copart’s acquisition of Hills Motors.

Complaints to insurers surge in a year

The latest figures from the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) reveal a bleak picture for complaints handling in the insurance industry, with analysis by Insurance DataLab revealing that many lines of business have increasingly high upheld rates.

Davies selects Sabio as transformation partner

Davies has selected digital customer experience transformation specialist Sabio Group to support its digital transformation.

The multi-year agreement will see Sabio support the transformation to a new cloud-based customer service platform that will enable Davies to strengthen telephony operations as well as open up new communication touchpoints.

UK fraud volumes soar

LexisNexis Risk Solutions has revealed that UK fraud attack volumes nearly doubled in 2022, with around 36 million human-initiated fraud attacks (up 92% on the previous year), and 352 million automated bot attacks (up 81%).

Meanwhile, the company has been recognised by Chartis Research as Category Leader in the Payment Risk Solutions 2023: Market and Vendor Landscape Report across four categories in the payment risk solutions space – Overall Scoring, Card Payments, Alternative Payments and Account-to-Account Payments.

Allianz Holdings earns Armed Forces medal of honour

Allianz Holdings has been awarded gold status by the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme, recognising its commitment to support those who have served or are serving in the armed forces.

Allianz was awarded bronze status in 2020 and silver status in 2021.
