Experts set for claims technology showcase
A host of industry experts are set to take to the stage for demonstrations, discussions and future visioning at ILC’s ClaimsTech Live event.
Taking to the stage will be some of the leading claims technology providers including SightCall, CoreLogic, Digilog, DWF360, LexisNexis, Solera Audatex and Verisk. Each will be leading a section of the event to provide their unique take on how technology is influencing the sector via live demonstrations, fireside chats and keynote presentations.

MGA Annual Report
The MGAA has published its annual report, revealing an eight per cent increase in membership across all tiers with 187 MGA members, 47 market practitioner members, and 116 supplier members. Meanwhile, it held 46 market briefings through the year, which attracted 2,101 attendees.

CCG names new Data chief
Claims Consortium Group has appointed Wayne Calderbank as Director of Data and Insight.
He will be responsible for the strategic application of data and analytics across the group, overseeing a team of 15 analysts and data scientists within Claims Consortium Group as well as its software as a service company Synergy Cloud and weather data company, Weathernet.
Gelder Group makes Living Wage pledge
Gelder Group has become only the second employer in Lincolnshire to sign-up to a commitment to pay the Real Living Wage to employees.
The Real Living Wage is based on living costs and varies from region to region. To date, 10,000 companies have signed up with more than 300,000 employees receiving a pay increase as a result.

Fraud crackdown paying dividends
The number of fraudulent claims fell by five per cent to 89,000 last year, with total value dropping by two per cent to £1.1bn. According to the ABI, motor insurance claims fraud remains the most common, with 49,000 detected frauds reflecting a fall of seven per cent on 2020, although total value only fell by one per cent to £577m.
Salary slips down the pecking order of priorities
More workers prioritise a good work-life balance over salary, according to new research carried out by Aviva.
It found that 41% of respondents said work-life balance was the most important thing in a job, compared to 36% who said it was the financial package.
