ILC Day 2023 has helped raise over £12,000 for the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.
The annual ILC Day, sees organisations from across the insurance claims sector provide their support to the Rainbow Trust by wearing red, committing to fundraising activities and donating to the charity.
This year also saw the introduction of the Great Insurance Bike Ride – an initiative headed up by ILC Founder Chris Ashworth, and supported by key names from across the claims industry, which saw individuals jump on a bike (at home, in the gym or outdoors) and cycle 50 miles.
Katherine Brooks, Corporate and Community Fundraising Manager at Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity said, “We had 30 companies supporting the Wall of Love; many others committing to fundraising activities; and, this year, the addition of the Great Insurance Bike Ride.
“A huge thank you to everyone who took part in ILC Day 2023. An impressive £12,000 has already been raised with money still coming in.”
Mark Hadaway, Managing Director of ILC said, “Thank you to the ILC community for, once again, rising to the challenge and making ILC Day 2023 a major success. It was great to see so much activity from across the sector and a special mention to those who took the challenge and jumped on their bikes in support.
“We are now very close to breaking through a £1.2m total raised – something we should all be incredibly proud of.”
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. When a child has a serious illness, family life is turned upside down and time becomes more precious than ever. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support, whenever they need it, for as long as is needed. The charity supports the whole family including parents, carers, the unwell child, brothers, sisters and grandparents.Tweet
