ILC Donor Partner, Tyne Tees Vehicle Repair Group, Makes Generous Donation to Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity

Tyne Tees Vehicle Repair Group has donated £5000 to the Rainbow Trust this week, £1000 from each of its five bodyshops. A sum which has become traditional for them to donate at the annual ILC Motor Claims Lunch.

Tyne Tees is an independent network of vehicle Bodyshop’s spanning across the North East of England. First established in 1970, they’ve expanded to cover five sites.

Managing Director of Tyne Tees, Darren Norton said: “I wanted to provide a similar level of support to what we have done the last few years, which is for £1000 donation from each of my 5 x repair facilities. Though this year has been tougher for most, we still want to provide support where we can to such an important cause”

Katherine Brooks from Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity said: “Good news like this means the world to us right now and we are so grateful to Tyne Tees Vehicle Repair Group for their support. £5,000 will go a long way supporting families who desperately need us right now, whilst they feel more isolated than ever. With fundraising events being cancelled every month we are relying on donations like these, the team at Rainbow Trust were thrilled when I mentioned the donation in our team meeting.”

The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child aged 0-18 years with a life-threatening or terminal illness. The COVID-19 pandemic has piled even further pressure on the families they support, in response, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity has shown innovation in the delivery of its services, to ensure that as many families as possible can continue to receive the tailored support that they need.
