ILC Industry leader interview: Emma Bazard, Strategic Client Lead, Restore Digital

Tell us about your business

Restore Digital works with some of the leading brands in the insurance industry, providing innovative digital solutions for claims management including automated workflows, live document scanning and digital storage.

Pulse is the name of our cloud-based claims management platform. We work with insurers, claims management companies and loss adjusters to build solutions that take time out of claims handling by streamlining processes and unlocking performance insight.

What do you think the top challenges in 2023 are for your insurance industry customers?

As with many industries, the insurance industry has experienced a step change in the pace of technological advancement in recent years. The pandemic brought the need for digital transformation into sharp focus for traditional players and fuelled the growth of insurtech businesses – giving customers more choice than ever.

With so many products on offer, customer expectations of service are higher than ever at a time when experienced resource is harder to find and keep – this perfect storm of challenges is leading many businesses to look at how investing in technology can help them to do more with less while still keeping their customers happy.

What’s next for your business?

Our focus is on continuing to develop solutions to help our clients navigate the changing market landscape and, to help us to do this, we are launching a new research project exploring the role of emerging technologies in addressing industry challenges, potential barriers to change and how these can be overcome.

We are asking for views and opinions on the technologies that will have most impact, the key drivers of adoption and the challenges in achieving a successful outcome for digital transformation projects.

How can ILC members have their say?

Look out for our survey which will be sent on ILC’s Breakfast Newsletter email on Wednesday 19 July. The survey takes around five minutes to complete. ILC members who complete the survey will have the option to leave their contact details to be entered into a prize draw to win a £200 Amazon voucher and they will also receive pre-release access to the research findings.

We are also in the process of conducting some in-depth interviews with industry leaders to get their perspectives on the drivers of change in claims management, the challenges of implementing new ways of working and overcoming barriers to successful claims transformation.

If any ILC members would like to participate in the interviews, please contact rachael.ramos@restoredigitial.co.uk – the interview would be no more than 15/20 minutes by Teams or on a call. Interviewees have the option to be included in all promotion and materials or to contribute anonymously.
