Wiser Academy and ILC partner for new generation focus

Training provider to the insurance industry – Wiser Academy – has partnered with ILC to support its new generation focus.

The partnership sees Wiser Academy join ILC as a specialist in developing the new generation of insurance sector talent – supporting a number of key events throughout the year and underpinning the ongoing principle of attracting talent and lifelong learning within the claims space.

Wiser Academy started out as the training department of a large insurance business, developing into a strong infrastructure training 1,200 employees. In 2012 it opened up its training facility to the rest of the market and then built on its success to become an independent training provider by 2014.

Since then, amongst many other milestones, Wiser Academy has secured government accreditation to deliver apprenticeships, developed a degree programme for insurers, and in 2022 was awarded an ‘Outstanding’ grade by OFSTED.

Crescens George, CEO of Wiser Academy said, “I am very happy that we could affiliate with ILC and bring a particular focus on the agenda of talent. The string of initiatives that we have mapped out together will be new and unique to our sector, and through our combined efforts we aim to make a positive impact and bring talent into the insurance sector, particularly claims.”

Wiser Academy’s Business Development Officer, Vicki Beatens, who will be running the project, said: “It’s great to be working in partnership with such a respected brand within the claims sector.”

Mark Hadaway, Managing Director of ILC, said, “We have worked closely with Wiser Academy in recent years and look forward to taking that partnership to the next level in the future. The focus on new generation is something we strongly advocate at ILC and in partnership with the industry experts – Wiser Academy – we very much look forward in bringing that to life.”
